At the start of the year I lost about 13 pounds in the the time period of 4 months. This was mainly because of my uncle and aunts saying that I was a 'big girl' and stuff like that (I weighted 132 pounds back then, at 5'4"). And it was also because I weighed the most out of all the females in my family (and I'm also the youngest).

For a while I felt good about myself but now the feeling of guilt has crept upon me.

When I don't exercise I feel guilty (I exercise at least 5 days a week, 750-1000 calories per exercising day).

I also try not to eat over 1500 calories per day and if I do, I feel guilty also.

And I don't like weighing myself.

I was just wondering if I had an eating disorder of some sort.

OMG hun I'm 5'2 and I'm suppose to weigh 130-135. U are at the perfect weight at 132. But I think at ur height ur suppose weight from 135 to 140 if I remember right. Ur aunts and uncles shouldn't telling u that when ur in great shape. I could see if u are obese but hun frankly ur not obese u are just the right weight at 132 especially since u work out 5 days a week. Don't let it bother u and don't let it make u feel guilty. maybe their just jealous cause they want to look like u. So be proud of urself and keep up the good work. Don't let anyone tell u any different. Don't let other ppl influence u at all. U have ur own mind and if ur happy with ur weight great. It's all about on how u feel about urself and noone else should matter.

You might have a form of bulimia, but you really need to talk to a professional about that.

From what you've said though, you work out a little too much or you aren't eating enough. With the weight you've lost, you're well within the right weight range for your height. You should consider eating 300-500 more calories a day or working out only 3-4 days a week.

The feelings of guilt should be dealt with by talking to a counselor. The eating and working out should be dealt with a nutritionist. Talk to your parents/guardian about seeing someone. Sometimes you can find a free counselors if that is an issue.

You are not overweight. It does sound like you are starting an eating disorder and are suffering from a body image issue. I would talk to a counselor to try and work on this before it becomes a huge problem. Also talk to a nutritionist about what foods are right for your diet and target weight. I would also suggest joining a gym in addition to all of these things this could help you with your body image. Good luck!

dont let others affect the way you see yourself. Im not sure if you exactly have and eating disorder, but dont get me wrong, you dont want one. It could turn into one if u dont realise whats happening to u. Try not to feel guilty about eating over your limit.

Hun, u dont wanna be a toothpick, they look unhealthy and not attractive at all. And just because you used to weigh more than your fam, doesnt have to make u feel guilty. Be happy with who u are and i suggest to do ur best not to count calories and stuf, it does ur head in ! take a break and it will prob work good luck !

It sounds like you feel forced to perform up to your family's expectations, not an eating disorder. You might see a counselor about it to be sure, or perhaps, your family doctor. Your weight sounds like you are just where you should be now.

Exercise is important for a health body. I have heard that we need to walk 10,000 steps a day for our health. You can get a step counter to monitor it. Current research shows that lifting some weight daily helps us maintain healthy bones -very important. So, check with experts about your practices, and feel good about what you're doing.

you sound like a pretty normal girl. most anyone feels guilty when they don't exercise or when they overeat.

guys and girls alike don't like to weigh themselves.

I don't think you have an eating disorder- you may, though, want to share your feelings with your family so that you can have a more open relationship with them and so in the future they will be more sensitive to "big girl" comments.

I'm sure you're beautiful, and the more accepting you are of yourself, the more comfortable you are in your own skin, the more beautiful you will become. body image isn't all about weight and size.
