I have a maximum length of a month alive

I had Stage 4, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. My oncologist said do not start any long books. Just read the articles in Reader's Digest. I decided that I did not have time for cancer. I took chemo twice a week for six months. While other patients in the room were nauseous, I had my wife bring me ice cream sandwich, which I ate with a savory delight. After chemo ended I was on Rituxan, a sort of smart bomb that finished what the chemo missed. After two years of that treatment. I was done. Still the oncologist said no long books and get prepared for death. Then 5 years later I was in remission. Then 3 years after that the same oncologist pronounced me cured. I have lived to see my grandchildren. I am now 60 and feel like almost a third of my life has passed me by.

This part is going to sound cruel. If you are not on death row with a planned execution date, get off your butt and make something happen. God forbid that instead of one month you have two or even more time. I make the most out of every day that I can find the floor when I wake up. The most important thing I do every day is breathe.

I assume you have been diagnosed with a terminal illness and are not planning on suicide within a month. If it is the latter, call 1-800-SUICIDE right away.

If you are terminal, then recall all the nights of your life when you went peacefully to sleep, which is a state not unlike death where you have no internal power to awaken yourself. But you were awakened by another will every morning to a new and pleasant day. Then consider why you awakened. It was someone's will other than your will awakening you. Couldn't that happen on the morning of the day after you die? You will be awakend by that other's will somewhere else.

Just enjoy your days and don't worry about awakening.

I hope you are not in pain, good luck, good life, good night!

Love,
Mad Mac

There's not a lot of explanation over why you have a month to live.

There is a common phenomenon that people who choose to fight what they are facing tend to live longer. I'm not sure if that's applicable to you.

If it's not, take a few days to get your arrangements in order (arrange for music, service or no service, burial/cremation, if you have a family make sure you have a will, donations to charity etc....)

Once that is out of the way, what are the things that you really want to do/see/experience? Make a list, figure out what will be fulfilling, beautiful, striking and meaningful to you. Are there places you want to see, activities you always wanted to try, a spiritual connection you've been meaning to tend to?

This is a very personal journey, and if you have family, make sure you let them know what's going on. Tell them how they can help, involve them in your adventures/wish fulfillment.

First how do you know you're going to be dead in a month and secondly just spend the last month you have doing absolutely everything you can possibly think about that you have always wanted to do

Max out a bunch of credit cards and just blow it all

the fun will provide temporary happiness but it won't change the reality but at least you'll be going out with a bang eh

Think of it this way. You are about to go to your real home which is in heaven. You still have a months time to make peace with God, and accept His promise. You also have time to make things right and say the things that need to be said. We all need to go home. Some sooner while others later. But we all end up the same anyways.

Look back at the good times in your life and be happy that you were given as much time on earth as you were. Be thankful for what you had while you were alive.

I'm assuming this information is coming from a doctor and has been corraborated my several others...if so, do everything you want to do. Live as normal and routine as you want or as crazy as you want (within social norms and limits please). Go to concerts, parties, meet people, spend time with family and loved ones, before you go spending tons of money on credit cards and such make sure that the contracts you signed with them will not leave your family with that debt...

Do all the things you would like to do (without harming others); sell up; spend up big; get a coffin and pay for your funeral with a credit card. Get more credit cards! Enjoy your remaining time to the max, but beware: others have had remissions, or were falsely diagnosed, so be sure. Now get busy.

if i was in this situation, i'd try and spend as much time possible with my family. especially my mom. i don't know what the heck i'd do without her...

happiness for sure won't come to you if you keep thinking about that though.
