i mean, today I've noticed questions about buying Mac or changing to it, or questions about comparisions between Microsoft and Mac. To be honest, I'm myself fetching a macbook. So, is mac really better than Windows? Or are people just bored with Windows Vista? Or is it because you can run Mac and Windows both on a mac? In short, what's the reason with so many people switching to Mac instead of Vista?

Apple has been paying alot of attention to detail lately, espicialy with the ipod.

Microsoft has gotten an image of being greedy not caring about the consumer, churning out faulty or unattractive products like the Zune and Vista just to make another buck which they desperatly need.

Along with clever commercials and caring about what the consumer wants, Apple/Mac has grown in popularity.

I bought a Mac because I had a Dell laptop that cost over 2Gs and lasted 4 months before it was very very slow to start up or run any program. After running the recommended diagnostics there was no change. About 2 months later it became a $2000 paperweight and didnt work at all. We said forget it and bought a G5 desktop that is now 3 years old with not a single problem and still sits beautifully working on a desk in my living room. I am currently working on my macbook which I bought in June and it has already outlasted my Dell.
So I think the reason many people buy Macs is because they want a computer they can rely on without throwing their money out the window on some PCOS (Personal Computer of S***).
I have actually found no need personally to run windows on my Mac, and I personally don't know anyone who does, but I guess it's popular.

This argument has gone on since the beggining of time.
Both Original Operating Systeme were designed for 2 completely different purposes.
As time has passed the 85% vs 15% rate of computer owners has spread further and further apart because of the influx in more fresh innovative ideas with the Apple format and most particularly the OSX Operating System.
There design engineers have come up with a way for the 85% PC Market to buy use and learn OSX while enjoying the benifits of having Windows Operating System as well using Parallel's and BootCamp.
So, Computer users have the benifit of both instead of having to own 2 different Computers all can be ejoyed on one.

Watch the video and decide for yourself

Or better yet, get one and have fun!
PS. Macs run Windows too. :)

I think people were deservedly underwhelmed with Vista after 5 years of hype and expectation only to ask "the WOW starts when?"

Judging by the fact that good or great reviews of Vista are harder to find on the net than Osama Bin Laden', while you would have to be living under a rock to have missed all the great reviews about OS X in the last 2-3 years.

I would say the proof is in the pudding.

Both are good in some ways.

Mac:
-lack of virus/hackers(Mac is just as vulnerable as Windows)
-easy to use interface
-clean artistic look
-an overall multi-media OS

Window:
-large variety of programs
-easy to upgrade
-made for programmers and pros
-better networking programs than Macs

It's all about preference both are extremely good at what they're made for, it all depends on the user.
