Truth is the true manifestation of the almighty himself. When you talk the truth, he is there in it. When you support truth, you are supporting him. Being truthful is religious. Following truth is worship.

we know the truth cause we know it is the right thing and from somewhere god sends us that message to our heart and tells us what is true and not.

but some people deny the truth because they think they will get hurt and are not able to accept what is in front of them.

reality can sometimes be hard but that is life and we need to accept it and learn how to live our life

cause the only way we will be able to live our lives peacefully is by reality and we can't deny it

thanks for listening to my opinions

This really doesn't seem like a question you actually want an answer to, more like you're just putting forth your own opinion as though it were absolutely correct. If someone knew in their heart that they were wrong then obviously they don't have faith. I'm not sure what you talking about with this line "How can people use the phrase 'I have faith', as an excuse for believing some ridiculous doctrine?" but I'm going to assume that this is in relation to God or heaven or something along those lines. While you may not believe in God and think it is ridiculous, can you prove without a doubt that a God doesn't exist? I have yet to find anyone who has been able to refute the existence of God with absolute certainty. You may "know" that there is no God and there is no heaven, but not too long ago everyone "knew" that the earth was flat.

Just curious: How do you *know* that your truth is something that I can recognize as the same truth? Please appreciate that I may have a different, interesting, and perhaps even "dangerous" world view that you do.

I have a sense of truth, too. But I bet it is differnt from yours. Should I insist that you not deny the truth I see so clearly? I don't think you'd like that very much.

In my world view I don't have a god or any supernatural entity guiding anything about my life (or yours, for that matter). I don't see "him" anywhere, except as an invented fantasy. Yet, I feel strongly that I "support truth," as you put it. It's just probably not *your* truth.

Maybe you'd like to give my answer a thumbs up? (But it's only a request!) ;-)

Denying means they haven't understood the truth. This is the answer i gave 1st but after answering so many of your questions about truth now i have to give a different answer.
Again i repeat saying that god will not be for the truth if it's going to hurt somebody.
People have confused between the truth about God & about speaking the truth in normal life. They have confused with both the truths. Hope you don't get confused with my answer.

Darlin, I know the truth but my truth wouldn't go over very well with bible bashers like you. My truth don't come out of some novel modified beyond recognition of the original doctrine by man, starting with the catholics and then on and on until we have so many versions of the bible out there how can you say any one of them contains the truth,

The Truth is what your heart tells you. Not what some book tells you or some bible bashing preacher trying to make a buck of the naive and gullible.

If you cant tell, i am pagan. Don't bother praying for me, my moms tried that for years, but i like to think for myself too much to be the good little baptist girl she always wanted

Gentleman, though I agree that this is not a question, I do agree with YOU that TRUTH is the manifestation of The Lord himself, but being truthful is not being religous, it is being obedient to the will of our Father Adonai, if you are a child of his, you are expected to follow his word, his teaching, his command, his call, and be obedient by being truthful as well. A lie is of the devil, which is why so many blaspheme the bible. Listen to "Close every door to me" from Joeseph and the Amazing Techinicolor Dreamcoat" if you ever feel like the world hates you for your beliefs, they know we are right, though we must be careful not to push it on them, but if this is a free country we are more than allowed to voice our opinions on any subject with God. Joseph was hated, we are hated, Jesus was hated, and still is hated, and always will be until every tongue cries to him when he comes with the words "King of Kings Lord of Lords" on him on his white horse out of the east. Do not fret from these comments, I almost agree with you completly.

Fine and dandy, good gibberish. What is truth?
It is 3.30pm is truth, but only in E.s.t everywhere else that is false. I can say it is daytime, again it is true here in USA, but false everywhere else.
A truth has to be same in all space and time, which can only be Atman as that is the datum. .
But that is by bookish knowledge I am still trying to find it.

KUDOS TO YOU! I think being honest can give a spiritual benefit. And following the truth will always lead you to HIM. HE is the way, the truth, and the life!

If your religion gives you comfort, then accept it and dont waste your time wondering why others dont believe. I am not a believer, but I think you have every right to be. But understand that there are other ways out there that are different than yours, and there always will be. They are different than yours, but just as valid. Learn to exist in this world side by side with those who believe differently than you, and enjoy your beliefs without worrying about the beliefs of other people.
