Genetics, drugs, mother being ill during pregnancy with certain diseases like rubella can cause deafness in the child....
ANYONE can be born deaf, blind, or with other disabilities, for whatever reasons.

yes ppl can be born deaf and its for a various of reasons its jsut like if your born blind or with one limb shorter than the other (i think u get what im sayin) sometimes the reason is genetic that mostly happens if relatives that have deafness or any genetic inherited possibly disease running through the family so if these relatives get married ....it could happen..sometimes its carelessness of the mother or the father too if a pregnant mother doesnt take good care of her self many abnormalities can happen to the baby by not taking care of herself im refering to smoking ,medications without a prescription, exposed to radiation ............those are a few of the reasons im sure there is alot more.

Yes, many deaf people are born deaf. There are many causes, some are as yet unknown to science.

Yeah, I think genetics has something to do with it. There's actually a really interesting documentary about cochlear implants, a technology that helps deaf people hear. It threatens "deaf culture." It's by PBS and it's called "Sound and Fury."

gene defects can cause it. it's like anything - some people are born without a leg and some people are born with six fingers. Basically it means that something has gone wrong while the baby was a fetus.

Yes I'm sure I've heard of a story about someone being born death. I'm not exactly sure what causes it though, so you should probably see someone who specializes in looking after babies. But the only thing i've really heard of causing it is alcohol so please for the babies sake don't drink at all even one glass could do damage.
