I'm 21 years old. At work there's this girl who obviously likes me quite a bit. She's very pretty and I actually enjoy talking to her. I pretty much find everything about her attractive and know I would like her a lot. Here's the thing, though: she's either 16 or 17 years old (I'm afraid to ask, but I'm betting she's 16).
I know that's a bit weird. I have one friend who's telling me it's not a big deal and another one telling me that yes, it is a big deal and I shouldn't do it.
I wouldn't even consider her a possibility if I didn't think we'd get along so well. On one hand, I think it'd be better for both of us to just find someone our own age; but, I also think I'd be letting a potentially good thing pass us by just because of something so trivial and out-of-our-control as age. Help me, Internet.

It would be ok depending on the Age of Consent of your country.
Its ethically alright for ya to be together since a 16 year old girl and a 21 year old guy would make a great pair. If she's under the legal age of consent, ya might as well look and talk but not touch and taste unless ya want bubba and his homies touching and tasting ya in a jail cell. Keep her interested until ya find a girl that you are more interested in or she turns legal.

In most states 16 is underage and some states 17 is underage so you're risking jail if you hook up with her.
You HAVE to ask her how old she is and seriously, you're 21 so wait until she's graduated high school because a 21 year old guy dating a high school girl is gross.
I'd say wait until she's 18 (and you can confirm this) and is graduated from high school.

The years apart aren't a big deal. I have dated a guy five years older than I am, but because she is so young... If she were 18 that's one thing. But she really is too young if she ends up being 16..

Younger girls are full of drama. Why waste your time. Find a woman, men your age are mainly interested in sex and girls this age are mainly interested in finding a guy to marry or have a baby with and trap him. This is just drama waiting to happen. Your craving a forbidden fruit and that fruit is tainted with drama that could cost you some money, or some jail time.

Compare your license pictures. It's always fun to do that. The photos are not flattering. Anyway, you can confirm her true age.
Be her friend. There's nothing wrong with that. But if you think you'll have a problem with just being friends get the hell out of there...do you really want to suffer the consequences?!?!

Children are very immature. If it did not work out, there would definitely be a big problem at work. Besides, she is not of legal age, and you could get into a lot of trouble yourself.
It would be best if you avoid that situation altogether for both of your sakes.

Logan,
Have you ever watched "To Catch A Predator" with Chris Hansen on "Dateline NBC?" Wait until she is absolutely 18 or older. It's the only smart thing to do.

I know many couples who are 9 years apart and they still love each other. You shouldn't let this good thing pass if you both really like each other.
You are definitely the right person for her because you talk so nicely about this girl.

Don't do it! She's jail bait!! Plus, you'll be registered as a sexual offender for the rest of your life. And wherever you move to, your neighbors are going to see you as a pedophile. Or you could wait another 2 years, and be happy and free.
