Are there any websites that show a general timeline of when certain Army Units will be deployed, perhaps by state and location? A friend of mine's Sargeant has been telling them for 2 years it would be in the next 6 months.

The press releases about tasking certain units to deploy is on the web site of the DOD. I've included the link below in the source column. That site is also good for keeping up on other defense matters as well.

The Army Times Newspaper will sometimes print the next public release rotation schedule, but it often changes. The recent surge kind of changed a lot and Im not sure if a new one has been published yet.

It is not very specific though and only give about a month time frame.
