Wouldn't you wanna know who your actually proposing to. lol I kid... The look on her face and eyes is what your actually looking at when your down on your knees willing to dedicate your love and honor of being her husband. The reaction when she realizes her soul mate is about to propose.

A man who is looking into the eyes of the woman he is proposing to, looks sincere in his desire to marry her. If he gets down on one knee and looks at the ground or behind her, he looks as though he might be asking her because he feels forced to do so.
I think that if a guy didn't look me in the eye as he asked me to marry him, I would have to turn him down, or ask some serious questions first.
