The Bible clearly teaches the resurrection from the dead. Jesus is called "the firstfruits of those who sleep (in death)". That is, the Bible teaches that all will be raised from the dead in immortal bodies, some to eternal life, others to a judgment of eternal damnation.

24"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. 25I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. 26For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself. 27And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.

28"Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice 29and come out—those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned.
John 5:24-29

The Bible was written by eyewitnesses or from the testimony of eyewitnesses.

"Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. Therefore, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus,"
Luke 1:1-3

"That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.'

The reason the body wasn't in the tomb is that Jesus rose from death, and didn't go up to heaven till later; when he did it was his whole (resurrected) body that went up.

The information about Jesus in the bible was written either by people who knew him very well - Matthew (a tax collector) and John (a fisherman) were both original disciples of Jesus - or by people who lived at the same time and may have known him; Mark (not sure what he did for a living, though ended up a preacher/evangelist) was probably one of the larger group of followers, though not one of the "twelve" disciples, and Luke, who was a doctor who travelled with Paul and knew the other apostles as well. Most of the rest of the New Testament was written by Paul, a rabbinical scholar.

All the information and letters that the original disciples wrote were kept by the various churches they were sent to and collated in the 4th century in a big meeting of church leaders.

The body is resurrected with the soul when you go to heaven. The body is changed into something a little different from the body you have on earth. 1 Corinthians 5:42; ' ... so also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body...'
It is not known if any of the information in the New Testament
was written down at the time it happened.

No, Jesus has a physical body. The Bible says that we will get a glorified Body, just like the one Jesus got. The Bible says that people could touch Him, He could eat, He could walk through walls, and He could fly on the clouds. I can't wait to receive my body that feels no pain and can last for all of eternity and is not limited to time and space.

By the way, Jesus was crucified on a Wednesday, not a Friday. He was resurrected on a Saturday night, but He wasn't seen until Sunday Morning. The way that we can explain this is that, the Day of Unleavened Bread is a Sabbath day no mater what day it lands on. So Jesus was crucified while the lambs were being slaughtered for Passover. The next day, which happened to be a High Holy Day, was a Thursday.

You have to realize that the discipiles couldn't read or write. There was no public education at that time. They had to rely on people called scribes who wrote for people. They were unable to edit the information to see if it was correct and scribes could add or take away information without detection. That is why the stories don't exactly match and it proves that the early church fathers didn't try to make them match. Jesus soul was one with the father, no need for the soul to ascend when it is already there. His whole being was divine, you can't equate it with ours.

The promise is that the body will be given back, only 'new', and incorruptable.

The 'soul' is sometimes referred to as the spirit. I had a Astral Projection experience in my pre Christian teen years, I could see everything, including my spirit or soul, separated from my physical body. So I think that it is visible, even more so.

The Bible is said to be written by 40 authors, each writing in their particular time. The basic message of it, trust God. Above all else, trust God. And God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, who paid for the sins of everybody, you just have to trust Him to receive the blessing.

The best book I know of was writtten by an atheis turned Christian 'The Case For Christ" by Lee Strobel.

Also when you read the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John they all talk about the death of Jesus but the ressurection as well. Then Luke who wrote the book of Acts wrote in Acts 1:7-11 " 7He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
9After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. 10They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11"Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."

Jesus body was changed after his ressurection and he did go to ehaven. Also in hte old testatment Enoch was taken by God into heaven before the flood in Noah's day. Allso Elijah went to heaven and did not die.

At the moment of the rapture "in the twinkiling of an eye" all the dead bodies of the believers will be ressurectioed and reunited with theirs souls. Then those that are alive will be taken body and soul to be with Jesus into heaven.

The scriptures show heaven is real. And that Jesus went there. It is a place where all believers will be taken in body at the time of the ressurection of the dead.

Muhammad, mentioned he did no longer even understand if he became going to make it to 'Heaven' what's thrilling is all Muslims will bypass to a 'hell' like place upon loss of life till allah comes to a decision to take them out, and easily people who die for the reason, with a view to communicate, those that can't be recessetated, are the only ones who understand they are going to be in 'heaven'. so in case you deliver decrease back a guy or woman from loss of life (CPR) and that that they had a 'hell' journey, it quite is okay, as allah had no longer confirmed up yet. sorry excuse for a faith to me.

healing the blind, raising the dead, walking on water, creating the world in 7.. 24hr days, why couldn't he just float to heaven? floating to heaven seems so 2nd grade compared to all the other things he did.
The bible is all spirit written that means God took men and had them write it. some are letters, some are old stories, some were written a couple days after an event happened.

The earliest texts from the New Testament is Mark. That book was written approximately 30 years after Jesus' death.
Remember - the Bible is meant to inspire holy reflection, DO NOT TAKE IT LITERAL. The meaning is there, but it is metaphysical - not literal. Think about that.
