There have been several times that I sat there absolutely dumbfounded when the pastor (and Sunday School teachers for that matter) would make theological points that, brought to their logical conclusion, went totally against reason, or were outright errors of fact. And it just sailed over everyone's heads, people nodding their heads in hypnotized agreement, who had long since been reeled in by the hooks of heresy. Don't get me wrong, I loved the pastor, I loved the people. But to stay in that church would have eventually meant some heated debate, and possibly some good people leaving. I don't want to do that to folks.

Before becoming Catholic I struggled in the man-made churches that did not contain His promises of truth, endurance and fullness. After coming home to His Church I have found peace in the ark of humanity from the sins of the world.

If you are struggling with religion in your church, I would find another Spirit filled Church where the Spirit of God can be felt and followed.
Where praise and worship is a joyful time.
Pray and ask God to lead you to His Church where His Spirit is felt.

I once went to a Mormon church when I was very young, but I can't remember any of that, it's way too vague to recall.
Thankfully, I don't go to church anymore. I occasionally have to go to public masses at a Catholic church (school stuff), but I don't tell anyone about my secret beliefs.
I don't think I've ever been to a Christian church, sorry. >_<

There is many different churches and some stick more to what the bible says and others like to use the bible but to be closer to what the world likes to have entertainment loud music and no order. Where the Spirit of God is there is order.
I do not understand what you mean religion, if you mean doctrines or their beliefs in general.

I have found many churches with leaders who are not Christians and others where leaders are Christians but also abusers and very few leaders who are able, or willing, to make disciples out of Christians.

When we struggle with the church, we must ask our self what it is.
Is it the Pastor,people,Word,TIME WHAT?
Most of the time it is the flesh warring against the spirit.
Seek out God ask Him to lead you.Show you His perfect will.
We know that Jesus told us to go to church.Forsake not the assembling of yourself together.
Hope I have help.<><
