I love sandwiches, my body does not accept so well since weight loss surgery, my favorite is after Turkey Day. I take the leftovers Turkey , stuffing, and cranberry and layer ontop of a yeast roll, mmm good, if too lazy to heat up gravy I use Miracle Whip, and just liek the commercial a sandwich is not a sandwich with out miracle whip.

BigG's in Winslow Maine have the best sandwiches.
Pina Collatas, Whole wheat honey bread smeared with cream cheese, nuts bananas coconut pineapple and one more All kinds of sandwiches on homemade bread thta is big enough to satisfy a giant.

Zinger, on a italian roll, or hot dog roll, layer some provolone pepperoni geneoa salami, and ham taost under broiler, mm good I use nothing for condiment but family uses mstard mariner sauce or mayo.

And of course I am from Maine so I LOVE the Lobster Roll
Lobster meat, miracle whip, on a toasted hot dog bun and lettuce. yummy

The ultimate sandwich though is the whoopie pie
They are yummy especially Isamax brand from Gardner Maine , thay have a shop where you can get fresh made ones
in all kinds of flavors, I love the peanut butter ones, but they have mint, pumkin, vanilla with raspberry and creme filling. Big G's are considered cow patties because they are so big.
There are knock off ones out here but they are made with cake, jsut not the same consistency in batter.
They are a sandwich right, they do have a filling sandwich between a top and bottom, LOL.

The best sandwich ever is the one you put in your mouth and your eyes close and you savor that first bite! Here are some of my favorites:

1. Authentic Reuben: rye bread, saurkraut, tons of pastrami, Russian dressing and a side of coleslaw.
2. Sourdough bread with mayo and mustard, sliced bologna, crushed potato chips.
3. Rosemary Potato bread, toasted, smeared with mayo and topped with pepper bacon and beefsteak tomato slices.
4. Ciabatta roll, toasted, with sliced turkey, green chili, mayo, and jack cheese.
5. Leftover meatloaf on white with mayonaise.
6. Toasted cheese with ham and dijon mustard.
7. Black Forest ham on onion roll with potato salad, sliced cucumbers, tomato and american cheese.

Ham and cheese melt. Get some rye bread, diced green peppers, diced onions, minced garlic, diced ham, spicy mustard and American cheese. Put all of that on the rye bread and grill it, add the mustard. One of the best sandwiches that can be made.

I love cold salami sub sandwiches. Sourdough or wheat bread, salty Italian salami, Monterey Jack cheese, mayo, lettuce, salt/pepper and viniegrette. I want one so bad right now, lol.

My favorite is grilled chicken with crisp bacon, on ciabatta bread, with sliced avacado (guacamole in a pinch!), sharp cheddar cheese, mixed Mesclun greens, and KC Masterpiece Barbeque sauce.

Don't knock it until you've tried it. :D
