If I consider myself Agnostic do I still get to hang out with the cool Atheitsts?

Since I don't believe in religion, and I dont know if there is a God do I get to include myself in your group or am I here alone? :-(

I consider myself more in line with Atheism, I'm just "wishy washy" so to speak about the whole God thing. However I believe if there is a God he is disgusted by all these religions as a almighty all knowing God wouldn't trivialize life with stupid rules and rituals.

Cool is relative. What I consider cool is people who are accepting and open minded to others. Who knows, I'm probably not that cool either, unless you like hats, then we're cool.

Yeah no worries....us atheists don't judge others for their beliefs......we might sometimes make fun of christians and other religious groups for their beliefs in supernatural beings, but in the end we still respect their choice to believe whatever they want to believe, we just hate, and I mean hate when they try to tell us how we are going to burn in hell or something for not sharing their beliefs......so if you accept us, we accept you.

If your default option is to assume God doesn't exist, then you qualify as an atheist. It's also possible to be an agnostic believer, if you say you don't know if a God exists but choose to assume that one does.

I generally identify as an atheist here too, even though I'm agnostic. Or, we could start a flame war between different flavors of atheism. It could be like evangelicals vs Catholics, only about who are the True™ freethinkers.

You get shunned from all groups if you're agnostic. From the right side of the aisle you get the same rhetoric and prosthelytizing that the atheists get, and from the left side you're seen as wishy-washy, lazy, confused, or stupid (or my favorite, high). Go figure. Can't catch a break from either side. But no, you're not here alone.

I don't know about you but I've gotten crap from both the believers and the atheists on here for being 'on the fence' when it comes to the God issue. Hopefully the atheists will be nice to you but I haven't had much luck with them as a whole.

I think that most of my atheist friends have the right idea about how to deal with my fundie nonsense. Which, I don't post a lot of fundie nonsense, but I do occasionally. They ignore it entirely. They realize that I'm only doing it to incite the anger of the other fundies. I don't think I'm a fundie though...Hm.... I should ask that...

But yeah, if I'm cool with most of them, then you are. ^_^. And with me, I love agnstics, I have agnostic tendencies.

Sure you can. I'm somewhere on the atheist-agnostic border myself, leaning towards atheism. I know that agnostics aren't really fence sitters. You can hang out with me.

You understand the absurdity of church.

You are not alone. It seems like you are on your way. Don't be afraid. Fear creates Christians and scares people into giving up their freedom and if you trade in your freedom for protection or salvation, you deserve neither.

I accept anyone of any faith that at least uses their brain. Even if I don't agree with them that fact they actually have examined evidence instead of following blindly is a big plus to me.
