Looking from a biblical perspective, the bible is totally inspired by God Himself, He is the author. If you look at it from this view point the purpose of Armageddon, and all other prophecy, is to show that God exists. According to the bible God tells the end from the beginning so that everyone will know that He is God when the thing is finally fulfilled because there is no way a human can have that kind of foreknowledge.
Of course I am assuming that you are looking at it from a biblical perspective. If, however, you think the bible is not all truth, then there does not exist a satisfactory answer since all these predicted biblical events may not happen anyway.

Those times are sent to try mans souls. As far as feeling secure I take great heart and joy knowing that I nor anyone here reading this will have to lift a single finger to help. Christ has us all held securely in his hand that believe in him.
Satan will lie cheat and deceive Billions during the last few years. Many of those souls will be lost for several reasons. Ungodly ways will be the ultimate death for them.

Let's all wait and see who is right in the end!! I don't believe in having a big debate about it we all believe what we believe but are you secure enough in what you believe to sit back and wait to see? or should you be nervous because you are not sure who the one true God is and if his word is true?does your belief comfort you enough to not worry about it and to help you think that it's all like you want it to be you will just die like any other organism and that will be that? Or does your heart know that there is a rather dramatic ending to this oh so perfect story? Well, I don't know!!!!! Let's wait and see shall we?????????????? I am not uncertain or insecure how about you?

The purpose is to rid this earth of all evil. So God can set-up His Kingdom in Jerusalem.
A new heaven and a new earth will come down from heaven and we that are the Saints of Christ will dwell with Him in Israel.

I believe in the prophetic parts of the bible but the God spell was contrived out of ignorance and lack of understanding of the world and its past. If the stupid Christian would get his or her head out of the bible long enough to research the bible true history they too would understand the idea of God was made up for evil reasons.
The prophecy parts of the bible was meant to inform man of his possible future. If you really drop the God and Devil parts of the bible you will begin to see the only real important parts of the bible is prophecy of coming events out side of man control. I don't expect Christians to even begin to fathom what I am talking about because they have bought the God portion of the bible hook line and sinker.

The Christians believe that this will be the second coming of Christ. At that time, he will separate all the good people from the bad people. All the good will be, raised from the dead if need be and, taken to heaven. The bad will be dammed.
