INTERESTING QUESTION!
It might be best to start with the basics, and work up from there.
You want to breathe, eat, socialize, keep cool in the heat, warm in the cold, and always have access to a clean and comfy place to take a poop, right?
Good. So far,we've covered the essentials. What's next?
What do you like to do (besides the above "action items")? And please don't be too crude or clever here, it could cost you valuable points when the game gets rough.
If you can find about 3 things you would either really like to do or already enjoy doing, then take a look at how other people seem to be making a living at doing those very same things.
Then make a plan. If you think you're ready to step in at a professional level at any of those, don't let the lack of a degree stop you (unless its brain surgery or something equally intense and with so much at stake in nearly every moment) - just go and donate your time at a company that does what you want to do. Just show up and make yourself useful.
Before you know it (usually within 2 to 3 weeks if you can float that) you'll be on payroll.
The rest is up to you. (Actually its always, more or less...)
Good luck and let me know how it goes.

Every opportunity is an opportunity to learn. Learn what you like and don't like by the experiences you face everyday.

Try something and if you like it, go ahead.
If not, try something else. Get some more experience and you will know what you want.
