Our God or Gods want us to be happy just like anyone else's God/ Gods. Isnt it funny that most ppl i know are Christian because they have Christian parents, why arent they Buddists? Isnt that kinda saying where your born decides it and limits a person's options?

Yes, your options are limited the second you're born. You're born into a race, culture, and economic status. In most cases (not all, of course), that will be your role in life. Culture and experience dictate who you are and what you do. Whether or not you have the opportunity to choose a role other than the one you were born into will depend mainly on your education and the open-mindedness of the people around you. The same goes for your non-Buddhist, Christian friends with Christian parents. There is nothing wrong in living out the role you were born into. The real problem is when you criticize someone else's role and choices.

So long as you adhere to same principles that govern all human it really does not matter what religion you beong to.........ultimately there is only one God.
It is simple why do we have a variety of food every day ? sometimes we venture out to try some delicacies found in nooks and corners of the earth...like wise religions are the different routes one chooses to take to reach one God ultimately.
Peace evades only because the muslims believe that they are the only ones worshipping the right God and so the Christians......It is time we learn to accept all religions and see what the truth is .

It started way before Jesus. The SUN of God. The 3 kings were Orion's Belt and the 12 disciples are the 12 months...
Just saw zeitgeist the movie (www.zeitgeistmovie.com) and although I haven't checked facts yet, I believe that it explains things very well. I have been discussing it with a few PhDs (History) and so far they have no problems with it.
And to answer another of your ?s, it is NOT funny.

Religions stem from cultures and vice versa. It is something that is passed down. Often people seek different paths than the one they were raised in. Some are content to stay.
Different religions exist because everyone is different and everyone explains and understands God in a different way.

If we were meant to all be the same we would be but then that would be boring. Its like having the same haircut, or wearing the same outfit everyday. If everyone in the world wore the same clothes, had the same hair, lived in the same houses you would be bored out of your mind. What could you possibly have to talk about?

Different religions teach different things. For God to accept all religions with their confusing and contradictory doctrines, that would make him a God of confusion.
God's word of truth is found in the pages of the Bible. As Jesus said to his Father at Matt. 17:17: "Your word is truth."

We all do not worship the same God!
One needs to become "Born Again"(God's Holy Spirit living in you) to become a real Christian. This can only be done, if we turn from our sins and receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

We as ppl only know what we are taught and or experience, which is very limited due to the limits that their religions put on them. Once they put "God in a box" and set limitations on god and their beliefs, they feel that there is no reason to seek out any other type of spiritual views or beliefs....
just my humble pagan thoughts....

its just more of staying with whats familiar.
ex..men marry women like their mommas.
If you read into different religions most of them are saying the exact same thing only using different labels.
So we are usually fighting the exact same point but our pride is what gets in the way.
