Honestly if you are on Lexapro then you are on it for a good reason.Drinking will not make things better for you at all.If you read the instructions of the medication and side effects then you will know than it is not a wise think to do.If you are taking your medication and thinking of getting drunk thats not a good thing.Talk to your Doctor whom prescribed the medication. Also be aware of the fact that alcohol is a depressant it will make you feel worse not better in the long run.

I don't get hangovers but I've drank while taking lexapro. It just... Mainly cancels out the anti-depressant effect because alcohol is a depressant. So if your depression is severe, I don't advise it.
Also, there may be chemical reactions with your Lexapro and alcohol. Check with your pharmacist to see if it's safe. Just call and ask. It can even be anonomous if you want it to be.

I drank heavily on Lexapro one night and woke up and had a mild seizure and shook for almost 3 days. I was also taking Ativan at the time so I think that's what gave me the seizure. I wouldn't have more than one drink if I were you.

NOT SMART! If you are taking Lexapro - this means that you are suffering from depression. Alcohol is a depressant. If you do not want to be more depressed GIVE UP THE BOOZ! You could die from mixing the two!

Realize what your doing to your body and your brain. You may survive it but your making your heart and body work harder than it has to.This can become an issue if your 35 or older because your body isnt as resiliant as it used to be

Well your liver loves it.
Drinking excessively can cause depression, so it's redundant to take one when you can stop the other. People never learn until it's too late. It's how my ex died.
