I was looking at another article and this headline came up: Craigslist Nanny Found Dead in Trunk -- http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,30578,00.html How horrific! Apparently a 19-year old in custody used the job ad as a ruse. It happened in Minnesota.

It just goes to show how one can't really trust an ad just because it is from a well-known job site.

What I meant by 'well-known' was that a lot of people are aware of the site -- not that it's necessarily as huge or popular as monster.com or hotjobs/yahoo.

That is so sad. I know, I've heard it's not a good idea to post your address and personal information on an online resume. As far as a job like that one...well, no matter if it's posted in a newspaper or online, you're always taking a chance going to someone's house that you don't know. This is very sad.

Um, Craiglist isn't a "well-known job site." Craigslist does NOT check out the credentials of its posters, and does NOT check out the validity of ads. It has jobs, but it's NOT a "well-known job site."

Monster.com is more of a well-known job site.

I had not heard, but the rules that apply to on line dating should apply to every thing on line, never go alone
