The evolutionists keep harping on our DNA and genetics that are common to animals. God made man a body that is similar to primates, but man is not a primate even though his body is similar.. and man did not come from primates or primates from man.
Man has a human soul and spirit and primates don't. Why can't evolutionists understand that. The debate is not about the body, but the soul and spirit..
Why do they keep repeating DNA and genetics thinking that it explains that man came from monkeys..

You can refuse to believe that any creature created by God has a spirit, but we eat a lot of animals including chimps and monkeys and we hopefully don't kill or eat humans. Now why?

Rogue Scrapbooker is right on the money...
It is not a "fact" that there is a "God," "soul" or "spirit..."
Those are "beliefs..."
There's a BIG difference between the two things...and Rogue was correct when he said (and it's worth repeating again, because I don't think you understand, that...
You Cannot Invent Your Own Facts...
(And I took a "Genetics" course in college that irrefutably shows the "fact" of how (even your own) genes are transferred and mixed through the process of "natural selection," which is another term for...
Evolution...it's fact, Jack...if you took that same genetics class, they would SHOW you and PROVE to you the "fact" of the evolutionary process of reproduction...and reproduction is something all lifeforms are "doing" right now...
Look at it this way so you don't continue to believe that somehow "evolution" rules out a "God..."
Just say to yourself (because it might be true) that "God" created an "evolutionary process" in order to create us...because THAT reconciles the two viewpoints quite well...
Don't you agree...? Science is simply studying and coming up with the "facts" of God's creation...(if you have to believe in a "God...")
Science doesn't say "God" doesn't exist...
Science is simply saying...."Hey! We've got no method or research process that could ever "prove" the "fact" of God's existence one way or the other, so we're not even gonna go there...because it would be fruitless to pursue a course of study that has no "methodology..."
Get in? It's not that hard to wrap your mind around...evolution in NO way, shape, or form "discredits," "disproves, or even 'discounts" the existence of God...
Science simply doesn't know if there is a God or not...there's no way to "test" the theory, short of dying...
And almost no rational person would suggest we start "flatliner" experiments as a research method...
Too damn risky...
Especially if there isn't a "God..."

There is no such thing as an "evolutionist", that is simply a made up pejorative term used by fundamentalists in what they think is an insulting way. It isn't insulting, its just there is no such thing.
The overwhelming evidence is in favor of evolution, and that means humans are a type of primate. Science keeps finding more and more evidence every day of the intimate connection of all life. You can ignore the evidence, deny the evidence, not understand the evidence, but it is still there.
There is not a shred of evidence for a god, soul or spirit.

I think that is a silly argument. God is a pretty incredible being. Why wouldn't evolution be a part of his plan? I don't see what the big deal is.
It sounds like your principle discomfort is the thought of apes having souls. Animals live and breathe too. Would it be such a horrible thing for primates to have souls?

O em gee it wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that your notions of the soul are not based on reason or evidence, so it is not the notions of souls that matter, but the evidence we have, would it?
In other words, gimme some evidence for the soul that humans have but primates don't, then evidence for the existence of the soul. Then, after those two, you can say that humans and animals are different in that way.

What soul and spirit?
You're assuming there is one because someone wrote it in a book.
Why should that be believed in any case when the whole bible is just a written work by several authors that has changed many times over the years only to preserve a lie.
There is nothing to suggest that people have a soul or spirit.
Quoting out of a book of stories doesn't make it real.

because there is a lot of evidence supporting evolution, there is no proof of a soul. I myself believe in evolution but I also believe in the soul. So my question is for you and those evolutionist who pick either one or the other, why can't you believe in both at the same time? Why does one cancel out the other? what makes you think you're right and they're wrong? And who the hell says that animals don't have souls? open your mind.

I am not asking you to accept evolution, but at least understand what it states. Man and apes share a common ancestor. We did not evolve from monkeys.
I refuse to believe that any creature that God created is without a spirit.
Did you know you can believe in God and believe that evolution is by His hand? You can. I'm doing it right now......

We are a body and a mind. Common animals have the same. There's absolutely no evidence whatsoever for a spirit or soul. Nothing. Zero. And what exactly makes you think humans are better than other animals?

I personally believe in evolution and a soul. Things aren't black and white- there are many of us in between. Even many Christians accept evolution because they see the Bible is not to be taken literally/

Just because you don't have the intellect or education to understand science, that doesn't invalidate it nor does it make your mythology true.
Please get an education - your lack of knowledge in basic genetics, DNA, and evolution is truly sad. Until you understand how childish and simple minded your remark is, you will remain in ignorance.
