ok, i live in dorms and this boy i like (and i think he likes me too) lives on the same floor as me just a couple of doors down. he won't let me into his room, he says that it's messy and that's why he doesn't want me to see it, but he still hasn't cleaned it, it's been a week. so why does he really not want me to see his room? does this mean he actually doesn't like me?

he's actually probably telling the truth. its messy and he is too lazy to clean it up for you, but he's still embarassed enough that he doesnt want you to see it.

either he is a lazy guy, and you shouldnt waste your time on him, or you can tell him over and over that it doesnt matter how messy it is.
(just make sure if you do the latter that you don't say things like "wow! it IS messy!")

you could even offer to help him clean it up! (but if he's embarassed abt the mess he probably will not accept that)

He might not have enough time to clean it because of school work and studying, he might not have put much thought into cleaning it, or he might be lazy and just not want to clean it at all. Or maybe he has posters hung up that he thinks you might not like, or think is weird/geeky. Who knows. Just ask him ahead of time to have dinner at his place, maybe he will hide what he is trying to conceal, or clean. If it's a "spur of the moment" thing and you wanna come in at that minute, he might be scared that you'll see something he doesn't want you to see. Just make plans ahead.

Usually guys are really simple. Maybe he really is embarrassed about the state of his room, but I doubt it. It may be something deeper, he could either not like you at all, or like a lot and is nervous. I don't know maybe the guy is celibate and doesn't want to tempt himself. The point is that you should just ask him. It might not be that big a deal.

Coming from a person with a habitually messy room, it probably just IS messy. And if his habits are anything like mine, he won't clean it. For a long. Long. Time. Hope this helps. =)

no, he may be really private or he may have a really icky roommate. it has nothing to do on if he likes you or not. honestly a bedroom/dorm room is a really private space and not allowing people in is not a big deal. some people are more open with their rooms and others are not quite so public about it. I would not worry about it, especially since you are not even dating, and are only casually talking.

He likes you. He just doesn't want you to see something.. What that is, I don't know. Maybe he doesn't find it fitting for a girl like you? I remember I was in the same situation once and she would not let me up to her room. But we still liked each other and had fun.

He probably is very messy and lazy. What else could it be? Not like he's hiding a girl!! And if it were pics or something out, all that can be hidden, or he could give it to someone else to hide, or he could say it's someone elses, so it's probably that he's jsut very messy and doesn;t want to clean it.
