I'm serious, so this is a sincere question.
Which comes first and foremost, God or family, specifically your children?

Well, I'm taught in church that the most important thing on earth is family. On earth, family is the most important. In heaven, well, I guess God is part of your family. I'm going with family on this question.

When Abraham was told to sacrifice his only son he obviously chose god. I think Abraham was a terrible person to comply (and weak too), and god was behaving as a true nazi, hence I am not a christian ;-)
That it was all a kind of joke of god doesn't really make it better, very sick joke imho

God always comes first and then family. If God is the center then all things fall in to place.

Both.. We are to love God and we are to love our family. We are taught to love our neighbors as we love ourselves...In the New Testament we are told that love is the greatest commandment.

The bible teaches to love the Lord your God with all your heart mind, strength. I am sure if you are doing this you will be able to love your family better.

It is wrong to spend so much time at church, that you neglect your family, especially your children. Remember it was God who instituted the family. I'm not saying that church is not important. I go every Sunday. What I'm saying is, you need to spend time with your family.

Because if I believe upon him and all he has done, all he is doing and all he will do,
I will being doing the right things and my family will benefit from my servents heart instead of my selfish fleshly one.
