Disregarding that's it's illegal and unconstitutional, isn't it unethical as well?

Upon the recommendation of a probation officer, Judge Robert Ransom sentenced Hanas to the state-sponsored rehabilitation program - the Inner City Christian Outreach Residential Program, run by a Pentecostal church.

Hanas said the program did not offer drug treatment or counseling, nor did it have any organized program other than reading the Bible and attending Pentecostal services.

He said his rosary and prayer book was taken from him and his religion was denounced as "witchcraft." Hanas said he was told his only chance of avoiding prison and a felony record was to convert to the Pentecostal faith.

It's amazing that US citizens are unaware of the billions of dollars given to corrupt churches. Faith Based Initiative.

Why does a person have to pay taxes for schools if they have no children?

Taking money from the government for your religious activities is ethical? WHAAA?!?!

It's also not in the constitution. The Supreme Court has viewed tax exemptions as a legislative issue, but there is no language in the constitution either prohibiting or allowing taxation of religious property or income.

Taxation on the right to worship would be against the constitution, but having religions pay for their fair share of police and fire protection is not. It's just that the politicians are too afraid of offending all the Christians who see no ethical dilemma to take the tax break and stay silent on the political issues of the day (most of which are tied very closely to what Christians are concerned with). What would Jesus do? He'd render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's.

What? I'm Christian, and I pay taxes just the same as everyone else. The only time I suppose I've ever taken taxes from a non-Christian is in sales tax at the cash register when I ring up a sale, but I assure you, I send that money to the state. Other than that, I have no idea of what you're talking about.

How so? I certainly don't have a government official coming by my door and saying, "Hey Shaun we went around to all the atheist houses and collected taxes. Here is $3,000. Have fun and God bless you!"......... Has that happened to any other Christians? Am I just missing out? Or am I right and this never happens.

It is legal, constitutional and ethical.

Only a fool thinks otherwise.

Jesus was asked if it was legal to pay taxes to Caesar.

He asked for a coin and then asked who's picture was on it.

"Caesar's" replied the man.

". . .and Jesus said unto him, "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's and unto God that which is God's."

Are you saying that Jesus participates in that which is illegal, unconstitutional and unethical?

Watch what questions you ask.

First off, it is Constitutional! please read the first Amendment. Secondly, we turn around and help our community. Our Forefathers realized that without Christian Churches, our Country would fail. That is why Country was made by Christians, for Christians.
