One day, an alien lord named Xenu captured aliens from different planets. He froze them and dropped them into the volcanoes of Hawaii. They rose up from the volcanoes as sprits, but Xenu built giant soul catchers in the sky. The alien souls were brainwashed and let out into the Earth. They found mankind, which caused all of the problems and depression in humans today.

To elaborate on what has already been said, the whole Xenu story is supposed to be some secret that only the high ranks in scientology get to find out and I believe a former scientologist or something leaked the info online and the church of scientology denies that the Xenu story and all that crap is what it believes in, they're just like oh we're not allowed to tell you but it's not Xenu.....riiiiiight.
They brainwash celebrities to popularise their cult, that's how they suck you in. Watch the South Park Episode "Trapped In The Closet" it will explain it.

L. Ron Hubbard started this "religion" from his book Dianetics, when is wouldn't sell as a science fiction book. They don't believe that people really get sick it is all in their heads, and if you pray hard enough you will get well. Only the rich get to take their kids to the Dr. Only the rich can afford to belong to scientology. And Tom Cruise says post partum depression is women just to lazy to take care of their kids and they need to exercise. Only the rich would be stupid enough to fall for this garbage.

Self-help.
They really don't believe in some guy named Xenu or whatever. This is a common misconception among people determined to hate Scientology.
Just bear in mind that when people say "cult" they should be talking about the CHURCH of Scientology, not the religion itself.

Getting as much money as possible from the people who follow this cult; note they are all extremely rich; you'll never see a poor person or an average person in Scientology...Note; Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie, John Travolta, Tom Cruise (who is now busily trying to recruit David Beckham and his wife!!!)

I am all for anything that brings people peace, but I honestly feel Scientology is the craziest stuff out there.

Scientology's believe in ape becoming men and woman, life started by one organism, and a star coming down to destroy all man kind and even the earth.

Denii had the right story, but he forgot one part. Xenu's BROTHER came and tried to kill everybody on Earth.
