Funny question. God is spirit and has no gender or any sexual organs.
You are confusing the true God for pagan versions of him.

Since Angels have no genitalia, I can't imagine why God would have any (male or female.) But, it does seems pretty obvious to me (and probably most women) that God couldn't possibly have a penis.
As for why God has historically been viewed as male, it's because the Bible was written by men, and every word that was allowed to be published had to first be approved by men. Any part of the Bible they didn't want made public, wasn't allowed to be made public, which is why some key passages were omitted from publication. During that era, common men weren't going to be capable of believing in a Supreme Being that was anything other than a man. In the first place, I find it doubtful that a man is capable of grasping the absence of genitalia. Secondly, no man living in that time period could accept the concept of being inferior to any Woman. It's important to recognize that in ancient times, men were in charge of media, including the Bible, and broadly practiced censorship.
While the Bible is, in many ways, a document of great historical accuracy, the stories told in it are undoubtedly slanted in the same way mass media slants stories today. Ever noticed how CNN went from being a source of objective reporting back in the 80's, and now is outrageously tabloid-ish?

There are several religions that teach that there is a Mother God.Who was God talking to when He said let US make man in our own image? I do believe that God is only spirit who has no gender. I do believe that
He does have a female side. To me God is the unmovable steady intelligent wisdom and knowledge. And Mother God is the moving caring, emotional part of God.

God is neither man nor woman but I do understand what you're saying and it probably would make more sense that God would be a woman rather than a man. Mother Nature....? Sure sounds like God to me.
Mankind has always defaulted to the masculine when referring to both man and women or all of humanity. Many backwards nations still believe women are inferior to men.

God is depicted in sacred writings as a male because of the leadership roles that men held in society. It made it easier to relate to Him that way. Human society was a patriarchal one at the time the Bible's texts were written.
However, those same sacred texts teach us that in the Spirit realm of God, there is no gender designation to individuals, neither to God.
As God is described, He possesses the traditional traits and characteristics of both human genders, yet He is a Spirit.

Actually, most of the major religions THEOLOGIANS agree God is beyond gender.
I think She may forgive them.
Why is the male pronoun so common in contemporary major religions? Because as a social control mechanism, making an entire gender subordinate eliminates half of challenges to a doministic heirarchy. Because poor translations of some Scriptures make this apparent concensus "real". Because actually thinking about the nature of Deity is hard; it is MUCH easier to project andropomorphic traits.

God can not be female, because then she would be called Goddess.
What if someone came up with questions that aren't asked like 10 times a day?
What if someone used the search function and read what a million other people already answered to this question?
What if someone actually came up with something worth responding to?
What if I stop here and take my 2 points with me?

Why all the hostility? You COULD have used the search function to see how many people asked this silly question already. YOU COULD have just ignored my answer to your question. Apparently, you have a lot of anger issues.
Anger management classes anyone?

God is beyond male or female. God is EVERYTHING. I'd be so happy just to be in the presence of God.
I think most societies ended up being patriarchical and so they naturally felt that God should be a man. Silly.

Then God would be a lier and that is not possible. In God's Word, God always refers to Himself in the masculine form and anyone talking to or about God used the masculine form.
Also, it would contradict everything the Bible teaches about women.

If God turns out to be a woman, that would be fine with me. However, I personally feel that God likely transcends human ideas of gender.

GD is a women. Why do you think she is responsible for the "original sin," the great flood, the mixing up of one language into 100's, Slavery, hatred and the list goes on and on. Only a women could cause such havoc and destroy so much in just the waive of her hand.
