Somebody I know can't take Calcium Citrate since they have diverticulosis (it gives constipation) therefore is Vitamin D a good supplement instead? or is it the same thing, what kind should she take?

Vitamin D aids the body's absorbtion of calcium but they are not the same. The body requires both.

Yes and no. Vitamin D helps the body absorb the Calcium. You get Vitamin D from the sun and it does help keep your bones strong, healthy and straight. But your body does need Calcium, along with Vitamin D. If you look at most bottles of Calcium, they usually have Vitamin D in them.

That person NEEDS both. Vit. D won't sub for calcium at all, it enhances absorption. But you still need Calcium.

I would recommend SMOOTH MOVE TEA . It is a natural vegetable laxative.
I have made it as a very STRONG cup, then drink about 2 ounces a day. Keeps one regular without diarrhea.
