why do so many pretty girls who generally are teenagers have low esteem and make bad decisions about trying to convince ppl that bad boys are good, are dressing sluttier will only attract sleeze bags and treating guys who r nice to them like crap...i really dun get it

Low self esteem usually comes from being abused in some way ... either verbally or physically. Generally when this happens , even though it's not right it becomes what is normal and expected from others and so the abused person is attracted to similar people. For example if a girl grows up in a home with an alcoholic and physically abusive father the chances that she will end up with that kind of partner are much higher than those that have not.
Some girls treat nice guys badly because they don't know how to react or believe that the guy is really sincere. They've never really had that in their lives before. If there is someone that you really like who has this problem I say be patient , just keep on being nice .... don't give in to frustration or discouragement .... the problem she is having isn't about you and she needs time to understand that you're for real. It's a sad and sick world we live in but this kinda stuff happens to many .... guys and girls. Good luck!! : )

Neither do they. Teenagers have a lot to learn and it continues throughout life. For some reason there is always a draw to the bad boys even tho' they will not do you any good. Hang in there. There are girls that look for the nice guys and at some point will be relieved to be meet someone like you. I have always looked for the nice guys but found that as soon as you get into a relationship, they are just as nasty as the bad boy, just not as much fun. How bout you?

Okay Teenager=low self esteem in most cases.
Why? Lack of actual life experience, most people don't KNOW what they don't know in these cases.
Its not a bad boy thing....its a very primal thing. Alpha females want Alpha males. Its a chemical thing. Logical thoughts have NOW relevance here. Sad but true.
Good GUYS get there day in "College" . That is when experience on the girls part allows them to realize that the "Beta male" is the best for relationships.

It seems stupid, but hormones do play a big role. Another part of it is their personality. I'm 15, and my friends have low self-esteem and dress slutty because they think boys will notice them more. My guess is that they think too much about people rejecting them, and they will be all alone. But all they are doing is making it easier for people to reject them and they get defensive (and mean.) It's confusing to me too. I'm more interested in fixing my truck and training my horses, and my friends give me a hard time about it because I'm not like them. I don't have time to worry about what people think of me. And to be honest I don't care anyway.
It's the teenage years, they don't call it the hardest (and most confusing) time of your life for nothing.

Low self-esteem is something that comes with a PERSON and not generally TEENAGE GIRLS. Yes, I do amit most girls are like that, more than guys anyway, but that's because they think they can get away with that look. Not all girls are like that. Not even most city girls are like that, but they think they are either better than everyone else, or a dirtbag on the social heirarchy of life.

hmm i've been asking myself that... wahahhaha i don't do that... i don't do that fyi... anyway... low self esteem... probably because of the food chain... every girl think they're ugly even if they're not... it's sort of natural ... some show it more than others though... teenagers do that more cuz of hormones... they wanna feel beautiful that's why they want to dress like a slut .. to get guy's attention... most girls think that most guys have a one track mind... and well the bad boys... well i think it's safe to say that the challenge combined with, the rebellous drives we have(in teens), craving for excitement and the desire to want what we can't get.. drives us to it.. personally i'd prefer nice good boys...lol ...:)

pretty is as pretty does. They feel this the only way they can fit in, usually they are running on empty after the wrong crowd of losers, being ridiculed behind their backs and used in so many ways, pity them,and find yourself a nice young lady who has her priorities together

Not all of them, most that do have a sad and dysfunctional home life. They think that dressing like that and acting the way they do will get the attention they are really seeking at home.

Not all pretty girls have self esteem issues and most of the time it's about the self esteem that's why they do it. Anyone can have self esteem issues.

i totally agree with you, and i dont get it either, but you sound like a nice guy so dont let them lil girls bother you, you wait for the right one and youll know her when she comes around, bc she wont have to be nothing but herself and you wont either.
