i would have loved to see Dale SR ( R.I.P)

Too bad ABC/ESPN can't bring back the classic Bob Jenkins/Ned Jarrett/Benny Parsons (RIP) trio.

Rusty is suppose to be their answer to DW, but he sorely lacks. As a driver, I thought he was great and when he opened his mouth I thought he was one of better interviews in NASCAR. But he drives me nuts for three hours.

Tim Brewer is (again) suppose to be their Jeff Hammond. But the man looks lost on TV. He may have all the tech knowledge and everything, but has zero connection with the viewers.

From the races that I have heard him on Dale Jarrett is a huge improvement over Rusty. Kyle is a slight improvement. The guy who I have heard on a couple of Busch Series races (back in the day-1999,2000) is Jeff Burton. Man was he good.

I'm a huge Rusty Wallace fan and I will admit that he s**ks as a announcer. The only good one on the ABC-ESPN race announcers is Dr. Jerry Punch. He has always been a good announcer whether its college football or Nascar. I hope they do offer Dale Jarrett a job. He was very good when he did a few races earlier in the year when he didnt qualify for the race.

Put Bob Jenkins, Dale Jarrett and Andy Petree in the booth and you got a solid combo

Put Punch as the lead pit reporter as he was so good at back in the 90s

take Kolber and Daughtery(sp.) off of countdown and let rusty wallace do that, where he wont be talking as much

as for wallace, I cant see a difference between him and DW. Neither speak english. Id like to hear rusty-dw and larry mac in the booth together. you would need a pause button and a dictionary

...Here is a liitle hope. Rumor is Dale Jarret may be announcing after the 5th race of next year when he retires. You can read between the lines on all other details to that.

They seem to be sticking with Rusty. If they can't replace him they at least need to get a strong personality to compete with him and use up some of his time.
