Paganism would be the first feminist religion considering they worshiped mother earth.

and I am a Muslim; I am just sick of other Muslims thinking there are better then men.
They might be; but them gloating about it and acting like haram police is sickening.
You wore your hair down that Haram.

Yeah, I mean the same thing goes on with Christians and Jews.Sweet heart, I think every religion has people that feel they are better than others in it. It is kind of annoying and really does make you want to slap the people who act that way. I myself am not Muslim and do have real issues with some kinds of Muslims. I mean there are Muslims who think if you do not kill unbelievers you are doing something wrong. I would not let anyone say that because you wore your hair up down or dyed it hot pink and spiked it say they are better than you. There not!!! I have seen a lot and read a lot about this over the last 3 months. I know that Muslims do seem to be a bit more judgmental towards others. Oh...Why can't we all just get along?!!! Tell them to kiss your hind end. I am willing to bet if God called us all to heaven now you would be considered in His eyes far more worthy than they are. =)

So far, I've not been put down by people who are more religious than I am. Though i get reminders on what I should or should not do. And if these people who likes to go around saying what you have stated in your question, obviously they do not understand the concept of being a Muslim. A good Muslim would not belittle a person or criticize someone who is less religious/spiritual than them. Who are they to judge and say that the other person will go to Hell. We have no way of knowing who goes to Heaven or who goes to Hell. You can be a practising Muslim, but sometimes the heart is not pure. That is where the problem arises. When reliqious people think they're better than those who do no practise or sporadically practises Islam. Thus you get the crazy extremists who are quick to judge and execute. They forget the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). To show compassion, understanding and to remind those who forget. And to end this, I'm a big believer in learning Tasawwuf. Be it if you're a Sunni (which I am) or a Shia or a Sufi. The purification of the heart is as important as reading the Quran and following the sunnah.

Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, "No one shall enter paradise who has a particle of arrogance in his heart" (Sahih Muslim, 1.93: hadith 91).

"Truly, Allah does not look at your outward forms and wealth, but rather at your hearts and your works" (Sahih Muslim, 4.1389: hadith 2564).

Absolutely correct!

And yes I am sick of it!

I have to tolerate such individuals.
They say Astagfirullah to anything, they say haram if you give a compliment- i.e if theres an attractive person gone past and you give a compliment, or haram to anything else.

I did not Pursue Art at school becos I was told it was haram to draw images of humans and animals, and many other things that would have made life more pleasant, in the name of haram.

They constantly try to make you fearful of punishments in small doses.

But then I decide to study Islam myself to find out what is correct and what not where eaxctly are these things written, because until then I was hemmed in from all angles, I thought to myself its no point living if you are meant to live like a Zombie just keeping your eyes down and praying etc. I might aswell go into a mountain and just pray to this god and do nothing else.

To my surprise I realised, from the Islamic stories of Muhammad (PBUH) how he was of a similar mindset, and how he manipulated using the same principles to make ends meet, using fear.

Most muslims who are true to the teachings are only bringing out the same fear that they live by and are taught by.
They will stop you on the streets and tell you to strenghten your faith.

My advice would be to join in, and say the same, agree outwardly, and maybe admit that may Allah strenghten your faith, when you come across these people, that way they will get a boost for their low self esteem from this fear, knowing that it is shared, it will also keep you calm in front of such doomed people of limited intellect.

or just tell them to go to hell (where they already are) and let Allah judge you, and not them.

Yes, by most people in the country where I was born the USA.
Because I no longer live there and I don't share there hateful narrow minded racist views. I have many Muslim friends here in Australia quite a few Muslim girls join our surf clubs here some wear the hijab some don't nobody cares.I don't practice the faith but the Mufti always welcomes me into the Mosque and we have great conversations while my Muslim friends do there prayers. I find it offensive to reading a lot of the posts placed that makes you want to pull out your hair too.

I follow the Islamic tradition. I am a Sufi.
There are divisions in all spiritual faiths, call them religions if you wish.
Very little of the original teachings within the major religions exist. It has all become diluted and watered down.
The followers of each tradition are my brothers and sisters and my love goes out to them, yet the "Truth" has been veiled from mankind. When this happens, it should tell man that there is something looming on the horizon, and that there is the possibility of a visitation close and the "True Faith" needs to be renewed.

Just my personal view!

The very same thing takes place between the Protestants and the Catholics. This could help explain the fighting that used to take place between the two religions, especially in Northern Ireland.

not at all you should not be,you do not need to rib your hair.you must take things in a different way:every persons' relation to god is a sacred one,you must notice the 7adeeth that says"may be a mans deeds were all the time is deeds Leeds to Jenna then he comes with some thing lead him to hell, and may some ones deed were always leading to hell ,then he ends it with some thing took him to Jenna"
so no way that i m better than you,its not me to judge.
but for some fellas answering you here,i must say i met many who were ready to claim themselves as Muslims or extremest Muslims and appear to be later that they were nt Muslims at all,and i suppose it is a paid job to be here.

Amen, I am not a Muslim but I do get annoyed by some statements made by fundamentalist Muslims. I respect Islam but some of the things posted by Muslims here is a bit disturbing.

Yes, I have experienced this before. I've found during disagreement they've decided their position and even if the evidence goes another way (ie. Islam is not the first feminist religion as some Muslims have told me, I don't even believe it is feminist).
