In my diocese, we have a West Point graduate, two former engineers, at least one former physician, a bunch of guys who got degrees in business, education, engineering, whatever and then went to seminary instead of on to careers, and so on.

Your college education would not prevent you from going to seminary and completing your discernment regarding the priesthood. Consult your parish priest about your next steps. There may be an annual retreat at the seminary that you can go on to help determine whether you want to enroll or or not.

May God bless you.

It is a requirement of becoming a Catholic priest to be a graduate.

However, I think you might have to attend seminary to complete the required education.

Yes but you must attend seminary. Contact the nearest office of the bishop and tell them of your calling. I am sure they will help you in your discernment as well.

Well, at least we know that Keith is not much of an historian quoting all the made up fanciful history does not give one much veracity in their teaching. Read real history instead of anti-Catholic propaganda from dubious sources where nonsense abounds.

Education isn't an obstacle to becoming a priest. You will be pursuing another degree if you plan on studying for the priesthood.

You'll still need to attend seminary before you can become a priest.

Engineering and theology have a lot in common ... but no THAT much in common.
