Let's say that all the speculation is correct, and that in the year 2012, we as a world face total destruction. If we KNEW (to a point that you believed) that to be true, what would you do with that information?

Please note that I didn't ask what you would do if you didn't believe it. I'm not looking to debate whether it's true or not. I just want to know how people would react if it were UNDOUBTEDLY TRUE.

"Knowing" means understanding. My most trusted source could repeat the assertion endlessly, but if it could not say how or why the destruction was to occur, there would be nothing to do. Put my affairs in order? For whose benefit?
For that matter, I don't think I would trust the "information". There has to be a rational cause for something so all-encompassing. Meteors? Cosmic radiation? Nuclear war? Dragons? God will get fed up? Some of these causes can be prevented. Others have never been demonstrated before. If the reason is a big secret, I have to ask who is hiding what,and why?
Okay, say we know that it will happen and we know why. If so, what ways are there of preventing or escaping the catastrophy? If there truly are none, then it doesn't make much sense to do anything about it. The end is the end.

I am 65 yrs One day when I was 7 I came back from schoolwith that big news The teacher had said it would be the end of the world in acouple of months At 7 yrs you get upset easily So I ask my father if it was true He my little girl the end the world would never happen He was so right it never came All my life I heard some stories about the end of the world It wil be the same for 2012 Nothing will happen I dont know whypeople are scared of those stupid prediction

no offense but remember people thought world was going to end in 2000 too. Besides Nostradamus saw the future till 3037, so I am half way certain that the world would not end in 2012

I would ignore it. Ignorant people have been predicting the end of the world for ages. Did it ever ring true. NO. We are all still here. I do like the scare tactics behind all these claims tho. Read the media, they are notorious for scare tactics. I mean reporting them. We wonder why most our population are on anti depressants. THERES YOUR ANSWER.
