I have accidentally eaten a few over the years and no harm but you sat down and ate a whole bowl full, YES they are poison.
Do not give them to animals.

It is hard to believe that a fruit which is know as "An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor Away"can have seeds which are not edible. I have eaten them with no ill effects.

I don't know if they are edible but I do save and plant them.
It makes for nice greenery in the kitchen window.

I bet you didn't know that apple seeds are very poisonous. Just looking at them can kill you.
That's why you have to cut out the seeds and place them in a double layer of plastic so the toxic juices and fumes don't kill you.
