Redken for sure - they have salon quality products, not so bad prices, and a full line for various hair types and conditions. If you go to a store like Ulta, they usually have smaller bottles (travel size) for sale so you can sample what they're like before you commit to buying the whole bottle.

on a drugstore budget, Pantene is really good. A little higher up, TIGI products are really nice! And if I had as much to spend as I wanted, I'd buy Phyto or Kerastase.

John Frieda, for sure! I just tried his line of hair products that are suited for either brunettes, blondes or redheads...(i used brunette) It smells so good, it has different extracts in it, like shea butter and makes your hair so soft and shiny, definitely try it!
