Anyone have any God moments this week? Explain.

PS God moments are moments where you just want to thank God, because something unbelievable amazing happened.

My pastor thinks we should experience at them at least once a week, and the more I listen to the Lord's voice, the more I have been experiencing them.

Do you also consider them God moments when something amazingly bad happens? Just curious.
(I mean really, or does the omnipotent only get credit for the good?)

I had a God moment this morning around 4 am. It was beautiful. My mind opened about some things that I'm going through. It happens all the time, when I suddenly start understanding something I never have before.

Actually I have god moments about every day of the week (for me god moments are when I just tell the lord my frustrations and worries and then I realize that the Holy Spirit will handle it); I had a good one today, after driving around for a half hour I found a parking spot right as someone was preparing to pull out. Which gave me just the right amount of time to make it on time to the movie thtre.
I live in ny & in manhattan parking spots are as hard to find as a needle in a haystack.

Yes, I did. *happy smile* While on vacation in New Orleans this weekend, I found a copy of two works by 'Dionysius the Areopagite,' an author whose works heavily influenced the author of my favorite book, 'The Cloud of Unknowing.'

I found Dionysius' book in Reverend Zombie's Voodoo shop in the French Quarter.

No, I am not kidding. A great work of early Christian mysticism--in a voodoo shop! God has to have been behind that. :)

One author I love to read calls these moments "thin spaces," meaning that sometimes it seems the space between us and God becomes very thin. Unfortunately, we cannot feel these moments all the time, but if each day we commit ourselves to doing God's will, and of serving Him instead of our own ego, we will indeed experience them. And they are quite wonderful to experience!

I just returned from a walk with my dog. I had a stressful week: my mom's house almost burned in a SoCal fire, my wife and I had a bad argument, etc. Yet today I was able to get my head on straight again (church helped tremendously). On this walk, I just found myself saying thank you...thank you...to God.

Despite all the stress and struggles we face in life, God is waiting for us to return, and when we return, we are rewarded. Peace be with you.

All the time.

I am so in love with God that I feel His presence all the time.

He gives my heart love for others.
He gives me appreciation for 'people' and the way they are.
