We're going to go there in a couple weeks. Is it easy to just go there and find a place? Does anyone have any advice on which one would be good or on prices or anything?

hi there - you need $55 cash and i.d. for your wedding licence, and you can then turn up at any of the chapels. You don't need a booking, but you run the risk of not getting the slot or place you want if the chapel is already booked up. Also, as there are currently over 80 wedding chapels in Las Vegas, I'd recommend doing your research before you go.

The website below lets you browse every wedding in Las Vegas and search every wedding package by cost. There is also a free online magazine that might help.

Good luck!

Hi I am getting married there in 3 weeks. You do not have to have a reservation at most of the chapels but if you want to get married in a hotel chapel or a "different" location they may be booked up. (especially if it's a Saturday or Sunday that you want to get married on) What kind of place do you want? Are you looking for a "cheesy" Vegas wedding? or a nice elegant wedding? Do you want to get married in a different way? (like on the TI pirate ship, or in front of the Balligo water show) A few great web sites to try are www.vegas.com or www.lasvegas.com they can give you some great ideas. Just remember that if you have a hotel that you really like they will do weddings there. If you need any other advice you can email me.

Just about every hotel has a wedding chapel, and there are plenty of other chapels to choose from. Some of the fancier places and themed weddings require a 2 week advance reservations, but a lot of them are walk in. You can even have an officiant marry you in your room.

Here are some sites that may help, there are so many!!

It depends on what you want.

If all you desire is one of those Elvis chapels you are good to go since there is one on every street corner. Make sure you arrive a day in advance to get your license since Vegas has started a new ordinance where after a certain time of evening you must wait 24 hours to get it. I think they are trying to cut back on the drunken 2am marriages with mid-morning annulments so they are seen as less of a joke.

If you want a regular church or someplace popular like Chapel of the Roses and don't want to wait in line....or if you are inviting guests....you need a reservation.

we got married in Vegas back in 2004. Although you do not need to make a reservation, I reccommend it. We came from out of town for the wedding, and the management at the chapel we chose were very helpful, I told them what kind of flowers I wanted, and they coordinated everything, including the flowers, photos, video, and the limo. I went to www.lasvegas.com, and clicked onto weddings, they have a ton of information there.

reservations for the "chapels" are not required, but can be made in advance. There are tons of them and most are just walk in, some will send a limo to pick you up at your hotel. They all offer a basic cheapo quickie service, then offer "packages" that go up in price from there. And I do mean go UP in price quickly!!

No, most places you can just show up...but if you want to double make sure of the time and place so you can work your other plans around it like eating or a concert.. you can make an appointment.
