I have a light blue sash on my wedding gown (that I bought online at Target.com). I purchased a tie from Target.com (from the same designer) that I thought would match, but, when it arrived, I realized that it is quite a bit darker then the sash on my dress. I would really like the tie to match the dress more closely. I've heard of dyeable shoes, but is there such a thing as a dyeable tie? If so, where could I purchase one? Any other ideas? Thanks for your help!

We are getting married on a glacier. And I don't plan to alter my plans about the matching tie to my sash, so comments in that vein are not welcome (thanks anyway).

Go to a tuexdo shop with the sash. If it's available, they can probably get it. If there is a white satin dyable tie a menswear shop would be the best pleace to get it.

Congrats & good luck

If you cant find a matching tie at a tuxedo/suit shop (your best bet), take your sash to a fabric store, find matching fabric and have someone make the tie for you.

Go to Davids bridal and the tuxedo place that they work with. They may have coordinating colors. You may have to buy a new sash but they will probably match. Or go to a seamstress, buy some fabric and have her make his tie and your sash.

it all sounds to busy for me. I was also told when choosing vest and tie colors, that they should match so the groom doesn't look to busy himself. i like the green and champagne. maybe have the brides maids dresses be olive green with a champagne colored sash and shoes? either way 2 colors will be less busy and more elegant than 3. good luck!

Try taking your sash to a tuxedo rental play so that you can match the colors perfectly. Or try a Davids Bridal, they have a million different colors that they can get. Good luck and congrats!!

No such thing as a dyeable tie.

Take your sash to any men's store (like Men's Warehouse) that specializes in dress clothes and suits. They literaly have walls full of ties and you will be able to find one that matches if not exactly, really close.

I think that a tuxedo shop would be the best bet. They should be able to match pretty close to anything. And if you want to match ur groom then by all means do it!! its ur day and everything should be exactly how u want it.

Good luck!

Just go with an all black tie...you'll save money and stress! Plus, it looks a bit nicer.

Good luck and congrats!
