It sounds a bit naive to trust what the Bible says about the existence of Heaven and I'm sure that many Christians agree with me.

When it comes to religion no one can win an argument. When did religion come into being ? Why did religion come into being? As for the after life with things so dismal on earth didn't the uneducated have to have some hope that there was a better existence in the hereafter ? Were the educated responsible for the theory?

Are CHRISTIANS deceiving themselves with the idea of an AFTER-LIFE?----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not anymore than atheists decieving themselves with the idea of there not being one. Look at it this way. I would rather live my life as a christian even if there was no afterlife. If there is an after life, I'm in heaven. If there is no afterlife how am I going to care? For an atheist, if there is no afterlife, how is he going to care anyway? But if there is an afterlife, He's going to care alot but by that time, it will be too late.
