I have one, he was half-raised by cats as a pup and displays many cat-like tendencies. He even pounces like one!

I do have a Beagle named "Brandy". She is 4 1/2 years old and there is rarely a day that goes by that she doesn't do something strange to make me laugh.

Beagles are great dogs and my girl i find has loads of personality. She has quite a few quirks. She loves sleeping on her back on the couch with all 4 paws in the air! (very cute!)and she is such a couch hog and tries to push anyone out of the corner so she can have it. She always does the sideways head tilt when i ask her a question which i adore. She occasionally acts like a boy and lifts her leg to pee or humps our male dog. Like any other beagle she loves to eat and is like a vacuum so i have to be really careful with her weight. She's great off the lead and loves nothing more than going for the run at the park or beach. I've found her to be really easy to train and so very loyal to me and my family.

Great dogs, can't recommend them enough!

Can you be more specific?

If you mean weird as in health then I have had one experience with my beagle. My family got her at a pet store and when we took her to the vet about 2-3 days later when we took her to the vet we found out she had protozoa(I think it's a type of parasite or germ) her droppings were soft and had blood in it. She also had kennel cough. She also had a hernia.

The vet gave us some medication and she got better. (She's 1 now)

She's a sweet dog she does bark though. She's good friends with my family 2 year old pug.

They sometimes give each other kisses!

I have one beagle that is two years older than the other, and the younger one will pee everywhere the older one pees. When we are on walks and the older one goes, the younger one will position herself right over the same spot and go there too.

If you're talking about problems? No. They are greedy little guys and, though intelligent, will usually ignore a command if a reward is not present. Other than that, they are very loyal and lovable companions.

My boyfriend has had beagles for his whole life and he said the only thing strange that happens is when they get old, like 12 or 13 they can get seizures. Other than that they are wonderful dogs.

I have a beagle mix. But what exactly do you mean by "weird"? If you are referring to behavioral issues, my dog's favorite thing to do if I leave her alone for too long is to pee at the end of my bed. That has subsided since we got a second dog.

My dog is half beagle and half shephard, and she can be pretty weird. She eats rocks and bees, even though she knows they will hurt her... no matter how hard my family and I work to deter her, she always eats a few.

If you mean by weird, funny then yes. He is a clown. When it is time to feed him and I have his bowl and taking to his feeding point he is right beside me. He will take a step and jump 4 feet into the air and try and get his food, again and again. He is a chow hound.
Here is a shot of him in my bed:

Is that a clown or what?
