Can I have the military move me back home since my husband and I are getting a divorce??? We live in Fl and my home of record is VA. We have only had the military move us once and that was when we transfered out of state to FL 2 years ago.

no they won't..which kind of sucks being stuck in another state trying to get home..been there...if you can either sit down and talk with your soon-to-be ex about helping you get home or if you have family that could help...sorry...

been there..done that..have the t-shirt to prove it..good luck!

No, Ma'am, the military paid for you to move to FL due to military necessity, ie. your husband was assigned to FL and had a dependent so they moved him and you. If you want to move to VA, that would be a personal choice and not related to the miltary mission at hand. If it were me, I'd ask my husband to help me out with moving expenses.

No, they will not move you anywhere because you are getting a divorce. You are not the responsibility of the Military.

No, they only move the enlisted person. The military basically considers the household goods belonging to the military person and that is who they are moving.

Even if all was well they would still not pay for your move.... they only pay to keep people together and to get you where he is stationed. Anything else is your choice.

At this point especially you will get nothing..... period. The military has no need to pay for you as they spend the money on succesful couples.

nope, you get a divorce from the troop and that means you get a divorce from any military assistance.

I know they will pay for it if you are stationed OCONUS, but I do not think they do it of you are Stateside.
