Along with what Frank has very aptly listed and he can correct me if I am wrong on this but also some things like laying your forearm across your opponents throat. It has to be a definite hold being applied. They have come up with this and the other rules to help meet the various athletic commissions requirements, cut down on the injuries that fighters were receiving as well as to better protect them, along with trying to keep the action moving and encourage fighters to commit and make a move, apply a hold or technique rather than just lay on someone for a couple of rounds.

No head butting or kicking to the downed opponent
No knees to the head of a downed opponent
No downward point of the elbow strikes
No strikes to the spine or the back of the head
No groin or throat strikes!
