Seriously, belonging to a cult-like chruch family. Being made to be involved after realizing it's nonsense based on ancient, poorly translated scripts and codes of behavior. Being with ppl who feel if there is no other answer, its has to be "god" they cant concieve of anything else because they know of nothing else.

maybe you're not an atheist you just dont want to be a christion, you dont have to follow a manistram religion or you could find the right one for you.
many atheists do this like women who have bad experiances with men and then become "lesbians"

Your question of "What can you do as an atheist" I'm not completely sure about what you are asking... But I do know that being an atheist you live without God/Christ or the Holy Spirit...I guess you could do just about anything you desire, But go to heaven...
I believe that without Christ you are without God, you are lost...You are living only believing in the things of this world, you have no disciplines, no hope. For example "when a loved ones die, you believes they are doomed to stay in the ground, they're just dead" Don't you think that's an awful thought, Is that not evil? It is to me! I believe in God's wonderful plan, for us to be with him in Heaven, to live everlasting. To join Him and our loved ones that are gone on before us...Knowing God "I am not affraid"...
Without God there is nothing but darkness/sin and fear. God's desires us (He doesn't force us) to live and follow Jesus his son, and to except him as the son of God. That's why God sent his Son Jesus, to die on the cross for us to forgive us of our sins, that shows us how much he loves us...We just need to confess our sins and believe that jesus is the Son of God, and trust/obey and follow his words...
God gives us His Word (the Bible) which is his quide his gift to us, its all wisdom, and morals to live by...He never ask us to do anything bad, He doesn't ask too much of us, He gives us 10 commandments, and they are easy to understood. He doesn't force us to follow him, that's up to us...
He gives us that choice...
Believing God's word gives us Hope/Love/Life/Guidance...
God is a forgiving God...All you have to do is ask him to come into your life, and ask him to forgive you of your sins... He will forgive...I follow God, because God is Good all the time...And I'm Glad.

Tell them, stop going to church. Anything!
True families don't force their other family members to practice religion.
If anyone tries to bring you back into that cult-like church family, then it proves that they aren't your family.

im an atheist, i just beleive that when we die its just over just like that like your alsleep just all black u know or i also beleive in rebirth. atheism is just alot more simpiler and easier than other religins i think
