He died this morning. I had a fun day after that happened. I went to a park with two of my friends, my mom, and my nephew and we ate lunch from Wendy's at the park. But now, as I sit here with nothing to do on a Sunday night, I can't get my mind off of it. I am so upset and sad. I don't want a new guinea pig. I only had him for a month or so, and he was only about a year old. What went wrong? *sniff*

I just wanted to point out that I've had two guinea pigs before him and they lived for 4 years. Was it because they had eachother?

This is normal.
Sometimes rodents get sick, and they don't show it. They can get wet tail and you may not notice. And some guinea pigs are not as young as the previous owner says they were.
My guess is either he got sick or was old enough to go off.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Be understanding. She's in straightforward terms 2. convenience her and tell her that the guinea-pig is in heaven working and enjoying. 2 years previous have a stressful time understanding approximately loss of life. tell her that's okay to cry as quickly as we lose a loved puppy. Hug her and characteristic her pay interest to the different guinea-pig. desire this helps

It is nothing that you did. These types of animals have a very short lifespan. They get sick very easily. You don't have to rush out and get a new pet. Give yourself time. Call a friend, email them. Maybe if you have a MySpace account post a pic of your guinea pig with a memorial border around it.

I recently lost one of my birds and sort of went through the same thing. I did things to take my mind off of it and then it just hits. It's only natural though so other than your guinea pig dying, nothing went wrong.

Things like that happen. You should get a new pet. That'll make you feel better!!!If it's too painful maybe you could get a cat or ferret;it dosen't have to be a guinea pig.

it's okay. guinea pigs are contrary little creatures. one of my son's died. the vet thought she might have had a bad cold. or perhaps a vitamin c deficiency. complex little gal. we will miss her. we have found they stay healthier and happier if you keep a pair. females get along better than males. we have two now. they are sweet, aren't they? sorry about your loss. give yourself time to grieve and then get another. better yet, get two. :)
