Rosemary-Sage Natural Hair Dye

1/2 cup dried sage
1/2 cup dried rosemary
2 cups hot water

Combine all ingredients in a nonreactive saucepan. Simmer for 30 minutes, then steep for several hours. Strain, and then use the resulting liquid for the colorant.

Apply to hair and leave on until dried. Rinse and dry. Repeat weekly until you obtain the desired shade, then monthly to maintain color.

you can use henna, if what you are wanting to do is highlight or lightly change the color of your hair without using harsh chemicals. you can get it at health food stores.

if you are looking for temporary colors for halloween, they sell cool temp. colors at sally beauty supply, and you can get a lot of different colored hairsprays and hair paints at drug stores and halloween specialty shops.

like just for Halloween, there are temporary hair dyes, but the burn your hair pretty bad, use at your own discression I guess, try a hat!! lol

I have heard excellent things about henna. If you are going to use henna on your hair, use body art grade henna.
