Sorry he left you, and really its good he did it now than after you were married ..
AIT is much different from BCT, I know where I went to AIT things were way different than when my husband went in 91, meaning back then they could drink, have over night passes, be released after chow until formation the next day, but when I was there in 06 we were told not to drink ( kids did it anyways), we were on lock down for 2 weeks no over night passes unless you were married and you had to put in a request before hand.
Trust me alot of things go on in AIT, I lost respet of a few of my battles( married ones) because of the things there were doing..

Sorry this happen to you, move on find the a man who will love and respect you!

i don't know why they wouldn't be able to talk to each other since they most likely have to work side by side with members of the opposite sex. a friend of mine met his wife while in the military so i believe they are able to interact with the opposite sex. if your fiance told you that the male soldiers were not allowed to talk to female soldiers then he was probably saying that so you wouldn't be suspicious of him or have reason to worry about infidelity. if i were you i'd move on and find someone else that wouldn't cheat on you no matter what the circumstances were.

Well if you were married then yea there could be some issues. But if it was just a B/F and G/F thing then sorry military or not it doesnt make a difference you cant do anything but move on with your life. I'm sorry for what happened.

In AIT there is, there is lots of freedom. Everyone is sexually repressed from Basic Training, and then all of a sudden you can do whatever. Most people use this as a time to hook up.

AIT is totally different than basic. They can spend time together.

Better to find out now what he's like than getting married then finding out.

This is what happens when soldiers have easy 24 hour access to lawyers.Your fiance could have said something about discrimination.

In basic training they aren't allowed to talk to each other. They are apparently attending Tech School. There they are allowed to be with the opposite sex.

As the other’s said better to find out now. It’s a two way street, after basic and while I was in training to be a radio operator I got the notorious DEAR JOHN letter, it hurts but consider yourself lucky to see the true person he is.

only during Basic training is it forbidden. After that, he's free to do what he wants.
