My tongue is swollen from underneath on the left?

My tongue is swollen from underneath on the left?

Why would this happen? What do you think it is and it isn't tonsilitis/glands cos i had that recently and know the difference.

Sorry I meant on the right hand side and it is a bit red. Just a little sore.

Possible allergic reaction but I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what else they think it could be.
