Actually it is Jesus Christ's church.
Cult -- depends on definition but is not a cult by my definition. (also by my definition JW, 7th day Ad., Catholics, Evangelicals, Jews, etc. are not cults either -- Cults to me are very bad people)
Social club -- I guess -- but not a good one.

Who gives you the right to call any religion a cult or a social club?

First of, let me state that I am not a Mormon.
Now, "Cult? Or social club?"
Neither, if you mean "cult" in the usual negative connotation it has today. Remember that "cult" and "sect", in general refer to the same thing: A subset of some over-arching group of people that have a set of (more or less) common beliefs.
What usually makes a cult a cult, is that it's organization is initially centered on a particular person. By that definition, a much more technically accurate one I might add, Christianity was a cult at one time.
Mormonism has grown and evolved into a legitimate religion that is known worldwide. Referring to it as a "social club" is just plain uninformed.
And to whomever called them "polytheists", all I can say is "huh"? Polytheism is belief in many gods.
Say what you will about Mormons (and I am not especially fond of that religion), they certainly only believe in one God - the Christian God.

I live in Utah. If the LDS church was a cult don't you think I would have been reeled in by now? And if it was a social club they would have beer, which they don't..
It kills me when one religion accuses another of being a cult when the fact is you all believe in a God but come at it from different yet equally wacky viewpoints.

Both. They do not believe in Biblical God.They think anyone can become gods, and Jesus is Satan's brother who was conceived through sexual act.
