I've been married to a Ukrainian woman for 10 years. She's beautiful, smart, great cook, (There's many more delicious dishes than Borscht) and can drink all my buddies under the table. If he really put out $30,000 then he's just a moron.

I am marrying a woman from Ukraine and her photos did not do her justice. She is much more beautiful. If all you are interested in is looks, then it doesn't matter whether you are marrying a Ukrainian or an American or an African--you are just asking for trouble and will be forever unhappy. If you are concerned, then send her flowers over the internet from one of the many companies that take photos when the flowers are delivered. They send you a photo by email in a couple of days and you can see for yourself what she looks like. I have never been happier than I am with my Ukrainian fiancee. I've never met an American woman who was a better companion.

Depends if you want to marry someone who is only marrying you for a VISA and the fact that you can give her a better life than she'd have at home. These mail order bride scams are vile. They exploit both vulnerable and naive young women in poor countries and sad lonely men who are desperate to find a woman.
If you want to marry for love and common interests etc, find a girl in the UK.

I am Ukrainian. Once I also was a member of the marriage agency. I agree, that studio pictures are very perfect.The fact is, that all marriage agencies ask only for studio photo. If you are interested in certain woman, ask her to send you the photos wich were taken from her everydaylife.
One more thing. Not all the women are all the same. The beauty is not the main thing. From the economic point of view - the beauty is a tangible assets wich soon will depreciate.
So, my advice is - try to get to know the woman's personality and good luck

Personally, I think there's a 90% chance you're getting scammed. The Internet immigration sites are full of horror stories written by guys who married women from Russia and Ukraine.

i have a step-mom from columbia my dad brought her over and 3 days later they were married now they get in fights all the time and i hate her. the moral of the story get to know the person from the other country well and not just through the internet. then decide after a little while if being married is the right choice for both of u.
