Where I live Cops chase Homeless People around a lot, they have a right to sleep anywhere they want without being Hassled by the Cops, aren't their real crimes being commited somewhere?I Live in San Francisco,Ca.,because the cost of living is so damn high alot of people can't afford a place of their own, theres nothing wrong with sleeping in the park or on the street corner in a tent, this was a free country the last time I checked, who agrees?

I completly agree. I live in Atlanta GA and we have the same problem. I think cops just don't understand how it really feels to be homeless.

Do you ever think about what your life might have be like today, had you not run away? Do you ever regret running away? Do you have any injuries? Do you trust people easily? How many people were in your actual family? Are you comfortable with talking about your abuse? If you answered yes to the above question, who abused you and how? Do your friends have a problem with your previous background? Do you easily blend into the crowd or do you tend to stand out? Do you think you've had a hard life? Are you proud of yourself?

Hey, they litter the streets like so much trash and they are treated that way. After all it might put the wealthy peoples noses out of joint and there might be no more conventions etc.
The thought is that if they weren't so lazy they would get a job.

My thought is that if the wealthy were not so greedy we all would have jobs. Unfortunately many of the homeless are war veterans that are not being cared for as promised by our oh so glorious government. Many are addicts at this point. I'm not too proud of our country for allowing this to happen.

It is not safe.. There are quite a few evil people who steal from the sleeping homeless. A while back, in Nashville a group of men rolled a sleeping homeless into the Cumberland River drowning her. She was asleep on the floating barge in Riverfront Park.

This is two fold.. They get them out of the streets for your protection as well as the homeless person's protection. They have shelters who are able to help place the displaced.

I can't believe I'm reading that someone said, "Our country allowed this to happen."

WHAT???

America is the country of endless possibility. People are risking their lives everyday to cross our borders for a shot at a better life. Anyone can ask for help in this day and age. They have to want it.

well yes but I think the presence of someone in the corner of street might increase the chances of crime even against these people as they are defenseless when they are asleep without any protection...that is what I think

I agree with you but when their presence disrupts other businesses from making money the Cops are doing their job and what they are paid to do wether they agree with it or not.
Street people almost need to "disappear" to make mid to upperclass society feel better about themselves.

Nothing wrong with sleeping on the streets? Then I suppose there is nothing wrong with leaving your dog crap on the streets either. Or what about littering? You're one of those people George Carlin talks about. "Not in my backyard". Leave homeless people sleep in the streets, just not in my backyard. Build more nuclear plants, but not in my back yard. Liberal douche.
