How do you fix a camera in which you can take pictures but the screen doesn't work and you can't navigate?

I think my camera was at the bottom of my backpack for a couple weeks. I don't think that could have done anything to the screen though.

Repairs will likely exceed the cost of a new camera. Use this one as a paperweight and begin shopping for a new camera.

When you get your new camera, try to remember its not a book and keep it in its own nice padded case.
