I recently injured my ankle (the physio believes I have bruised my heel bone), but with pain relief, physio treatment and by supporting the ankle by bandaging it I was able to continue my day to day life.

This morning I woke up with a tingling sensation in my big toe, this has gradually spread through to several other toes, down the left inside section of my foot and down to my heel. The pain has dramatically increased to the point where I can not do anything. I am seeing the physio this afternoon, however I honestly doubt she will be of much help and therefore am looking into different treatment options.

I have had acupuncture on my foot before, however due to my needle phobia I would prefer if I did not have to go through with it again. I was thinking about laser acupuncture, and will defiantley look into that. Does anyone else have any other ideas?

I am seeing a doctor on Thursday, however I dont really want to wait until then as it is imperative that I return to normal, day to day life, as soon as possible.

For the health of the child, I would give the meds a chance. This can change a person's life for the better, and give them a chance to be social and learn. I know adults who have cried they were so happy it worked and they wished they received treatment years ago. All of the meds have websites with in depth info about side effects and monitoring. We don't look for options when the kid needs chemo or insulin and this will definitely affect their future if it is not treated. Best of luck to you and yours!
