YES! this weekend- my brother and I were walking to a house party on campus and these stupid idiots did a drive by shooting with paint ball guns--- they shot at us--my brother got shot twice---- one was in the head REALLY bad! right in the forhead. The paramedics said if they would have gotten him in the eye he would have lost his eye and gone blind. God was looking over us. I know he was. Bad things happen in life for a reason. But we are so thankful --because it could have been worse!

There is no way to prove that there is a god or that there is no god. It's all just a guess. If there is a higher power, the higher power would know that all we can do is guess. I believe that if there is a god, he's probably not going to send something he created to hell for guessing wrong. He could, though I'd rather not worship such a god.

This vast universe was made by someone. The animals were made by someone. People were made by someone.
And he cares very much about you as a person.
He made us to be happy and enjoy life and Adam and Eve rebelled and wanted to do their own thing.
So the time that has passed by has let mankind do whatever he wanted. But that time is almost up and God will restore the earth to its former beauty. The righteous will live forever upon the earth.

If this god exists, which I believe doesn't, where is he? Where was he during the holocaust? Where was he during the genocide in Rwanda or the Congo or Cambodia or Sierra Leonne or Liberia or Angola or Northern Ireland or a million other places man is suffering? What? Cares for us?

God is love - Love cares. Love gives. Love wants to be loved in return. Yes, I believe in Jesus Christ as the only begotten Son of God, who came and died for my sins, was buried and was resurrected on the third day, and who lives for ever more! I am so thankful for the hope that is within me through Jesus Christ!!!

i think so. even if there isn't, i would prefer to believe that there is. the idea of a higher power, God, is very comforting in times of chaos or sorrow because it lets us believe that there is a bigger plan for the craziness in our lives. i would much rather believe that than to think that such flawed beings as humans are really the only players in the game of life.
