It has to do with acoustics and how we hear ourselves.
The sound you hear while you are singing is so very personal- no on else in the world can hear it. What you hear on a recording is how the rest of the world hears you. Singing lessons help us refine that "outer" voice to the point where it is not only acceptable to the outer world, but to the inner listener as well. This does mean that some cherished ideas of how you like to hear yourself may have to be discarded as being wrong. This is an ego hurdle that most singers have to get past if they want to continue making progress.
In short, you will need to retrain your perception of how you create sound and how your body registers these actions. One hard and fast rule: if it is uncomfortable in your body, it will sound uncomfortable in your voice. If your body is in alignment with itself and comfortable, this will also sound in your voice, generally as more open, clearer sounding, pleasant tone, etc.

do no longer worry approximately it! Your voice is possibly extra proper than you think of. besides, different young babies could have undesirable voices too, and could be in basic terms as worried. Your instructor is finding out your voice to establish what component to the choir you should be in, which includes alto, soprano, etc. as quickly as that happens, you would be making a track with human beings on an identical time many of the time. as properly, your instructor would be coaching you the thank you to respire precise and do heat up workouts which will help your voice strengthen into extra proper. Plus, you would be studying the thank you to study track besides! l

I hate listening to myself because I nitpick every little imperfection. I'm my own worst critic, and I think that's the case with a lot of people.
